A Wonderful Northern Lights Adventure in Iceland — one of the best places to see the Aurora Borealis

The Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis has to be one of Nature´s most fantastic phenomena. Seeing these lights dance across the polar sky is pure magic.

There are many reasons to visit Iceland and one of them is the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights over the winter months. The season, with its pure crisp air, offers some of the best conditions for spotting stars and frequent displays of the Aurora Borealis.

When joining Thor Travel on a Northern Lights hunt you are setting off on a mission with an unknown outcome. Finding the Northern Lights can be tricky, it´s a combination of factors, including the experience of the guide. The guide needs to know about weather and road conditions, or off-road possibilities and of course know the best places for seeing the Northern Lights. But despite all our expertise and the use of modern technology, we sometimes just don´t get to see the Northern Lights, that´s why we call it a Northern Lights hunt.

Do bear in mind that this tour depends on weather conditions and sightings are not guaranteed.
